ℹ How to use the LESS screen

What it is

The Landing Error Scoring System (Padua et al. 2009) scored from video — the full 17 items across two synchronised cameras (right-side + frontal). It supports your judgement; it does not replace it.

Two modes

Manual (default) — load the clip(s), tag the events, score every item by eye. No tracking.
Assisted — the pose tracker does a best guess, auto-suggests the measurable items and draws confidence-coloured markers (green = confident, amber = unsure). Drag any wrong dot onto the body and hit Reprocess.

Workflow

Load a right-side clip (and optionally a frontal clip) into the boxes.
In Assisted, sync initial contact, then Track & score. In Manual, tag IC and max knee flexion.
Review the 17 items in the breakdown columns; override any suggestion.
Set the overall impression (your call) and export.

Honesty

Auto-suggestions come from automated pose estimation and can be wrong. Some thresholds are operational (computational translations of qualitative LESS items), not canonical LESS cut-offs — each item is tagged. Frontal foot-rotation and asymmetry, and the overall impression, are scored by eye.
